Fine Dining in Walnut Springs? You bet. A foggy day did not deter seventeen folks in 9 cars from joining us for our first event of the year - a country drive and a great prix fixe 3-course prime rib lunch at Oma Leen's, a farm-to-table restaurant located in a century-old building in tiny Walnut Springs.
This quaint restaurant was established by young couple Austin and Shannon Odom not long ago. It is named after Austin's great-grandmother Oma and Shannon's grandmother Willene. The restaurant is highly-rated and was featured in Fort Worth, Texas magazine.
Oma Leen’s is normally closed for Saturday lunch, but they opened their doors just for us, giving us plenty of room to move around and socialize with fellow members. Thanks to members Larry and Susan Williams for making this event happen.
